I can respect your position and opinion, regardless of the cause, but I ask you this - how do you experience worship, then?

We can all worship God in simple ways throughout our days. I have had many enlightening conversations with His Utmost while mowing the lawn, although some more gracious expressions were mouthed after the mower produced fire.

My personal experience with worship can best be described as feeling "filled with the Holy Spirit" and it is most passionate while leading worship songs with others, but I'm able to reach the same level of intimacy with God by simply listening to music written by lyricists that have experienced similar situations in life as myself, whether Christian or secular.

If you really think about it, we were all created by Him. He desires a relationship with us. It may only be a matter of who has acknowledged and is actively seeking Him and who is just commenting on "life in general" that can separate Cristian vs. secular artists.

"A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?"
-Albert Einstein

Can't wait meet little Bauer.

Peace, bro.Einstein's Butterflyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00297333167314577792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-981314284049481054.post-56024871827030085172008-11-13T14:22:00.000-08:002008-11-13T14:22:00.000-08:00dan, i remember talking with you about "worship" m...dan, i remember talking with you about "worship" music and being frustrated, and at the time it was a new concept for me and i didn't quite understand it. that stuck with me though. i have been chewing on that for a long time now. part of me says it shouldn't matter what it sounds like or what the words are because its not about "my" likes, "my" needs, "my" wants... its not about me. but on the other hand, if we are singing about the Creator... God... shouldn't it be a little better than this? i'll keep chewing on it brother thank you.

now about the parable, what about this? when Jesus told the rich man to go and sell all his possessions and follow Him... did he mean that literally? or did he know that the mans possessions were more important to him than following Jesus. if Jesus meant it literally, don't you think that it would effect us more. that more of us would be challenged to do that? but on a realistic level, if it was just me, i would be more inclined to do that but i have a family now which makes things a little more different when Jesus is essentially telling me to go and be "home-less" .

let me know.

keep it up.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00589498105319739750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-981314284049481054.post-43639402942189615582008-11-12T19:01:00.000-08:002008-11-12T19:01:00.000-08:00Wow, now I feel like crap about spending so much o...Wow, now I feel like crap about spending so much on a car!!
