Hey Dan! I don't think there is any doubt that America is a post-Christian nation.It has been for quite a while. One thing though. From everything I've read I think a lot of people are no longer calling themselves Christians because that term carries a negative connatation (sp?).
I think that skews the numbers a little. However, if we (Christ followers) are to give this nation back to God, it won't be through the church. Not unless the church itself goes through some major, positive changes.
Modern effective evangelism has to come from us as individuals, like what we say and do around the dinner table, the breakroom table, and the communion table.
I am at the point where I now describe myself spiritually as a huge fan of Christ, but not so much the church. I hope I can change that description sometime in the future. We'll see.
